Who said cake smashes were a first birthday thing? We recently celebrated my daughter’s 2nd birthday and decided to take some photos of her with a rainbow cupcake for the occasion.
This session was done at one of my favourite locations – the Ormeau Field. I used a bed net, rug, some flowers, a little doorstep rug and some gently hung butterflies to decorate the set. My daughter loved the butterflies, but she also loved pulling them off. If I did this set up again, I’d likely hang them with fishing wire instead.
I had hoped Liliana would be a little more smash-happy than she was for her first birthday, but just like last time she preferred to just delicately enjoy the cupcake.
I really love how this session came together and I’m so glad we took her out to capture these special memories.
