Mother’s Day Cottage Minis

SUNDAY 12TH APRIL

This Mother’s Day, I’m hosting a small run of intimate mini sessions at the Coastal Cottage.

These sessions are designed to be short and sweet, focusing on the simple, everyday moments that so often go undocumented.

You’ll have two beautiful options to choose from. Outdoors, Mel from the Coastal Cottage has created a softly styled setting with florals that feel natural and effortless. Indoors, we’ll keep things slow and relaxed, with little everyday activities for you to do with your kids like playing on the floor, twirling and dancing around, reading a book, or simply having a quiet cuddle.

These sessions aren’t about perfect smiles or posing. They’re about connection and being present with your kids.

The idea for these sessions comes from a series of photos my husband took of me with my eldest when she was a baby. They’re not styled or polished, but they are some of my most cherished images because they hold how it felt to be her mum in that season. And that’s what I wish to create for you.

If you’ve been meaning to get in the frame, this is your sign 🤍

FAQ’S
  1. How many people can be in a session?
These sessions are designed for immediate family + if you’d like to include grandma too, you are most welcome to!
  2. Can dads join?
Yes – but these sessions are mostly for mum. I don’t mind if Dad’s want to be in a few photos, but really this is a chance to celebrate mum, so she’ll be the focus.
  3. What do we wear?
I have a complimentary client closet for mums, however you are most welcome to dress in your own wardrobe. I’d recommend keeping the wardrobe soft for these. Think pastels, shades of beige and light browns, pinks, creams, whites. I’d avoid any dark colours as they’ll clash with the sets. Linens, knitwear and soft cottons and lace are all great textures. For little girls, I recommend wearing bike shorts under any dresses and if you’re dressing a baby in a romper or overalls, ensuring the straps are tight enough to not fall off the shoulders.
