Retainer and Payment

To secure your booking a 50% non-refundable retainer is required. No dates will be reserved without the 50% retainer paid in full. The balance must be paid 2 days prior to the shoot date. All gift certificates and seasonal minis must be paid outright.

Cancellations and Refunds

If the client requires to cancel the photoshoot for any reason the retainer is non-refundable. The client is responsible for any additional costs for materials incurred up until the time of cancellation.

Refunds are not given for change of mind. Any creative requests from the client must be communicated and agreed upon in writing prior to shooting. Where applicable, the client is asked to provide examples of any creative requests. If post shoot the client would like any additional editing, this can be provided at a rate of $50 per hour.

Photographic Materials & Copyright

All photographic materials including original photos, are the property of Jess Ablett. Jess Ablett shall own the copyright for all images and may use the images across any promotional material, advertising, contests and exhibitions unless otherwise agreed via email prior to the photoshoot.

The client may use any images across their own personal and business networks. It is requested that the client tags Jess Ablett across Instagram and Facebook. The client may have their images printed for their own personal/business use only. When published in print publications, it is required that Jess Ablett is credited. Images are not to be resold.

Failure to perform

In the case of sickness or cause beyond the control of Jess Ablett, the client will be refunded any previously paid funds or offered an alternative shoot date. If a refund is given, Jess Ablett is no longer required to provide any goods and services that were previously agreed upon.

Liability

The client is responsible for ensuring their own safety, the safety of those in their guardianship and the safety of their property and belongings. Jess Ablett is not responsible for any damages done to any persons or belongings as a result of the shoot.

Image Delivery

Images are delivered digitally online in both high res and web res formats via Pixieset. The high res versions are the highest quality images available. The gallery will remain active for a period of up to 2 months after being sent. After this date, the images will no longer be available via the gallery. Jess Ablett is not responsible for any images that may be lost after delivery of the gallery due to equipment failure and environmental factors. It is the clients responsibility to ensure that all photographs are saved and backed up on their personal and/or business drives. Jess Ablett will have all digital images delivered online within 4 weeks of the shoot date. If there are any reasons that images will be delayed, Jess Ablett will communicate this with the client via email.

Retouching & Editing

Image retouching and editing is at the discretion of Jess Ablett based on her experience and artistic control. As a matter of ethical integrity, Jess Ablett does not alter the size of the body or body parts. Additional retouching and editing requests are subject to a rate of $50 per hour.

Personal Appearance

Jess Ablett is not responsible for the styling, hair and makeup and personal appearance of the client(s). It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they are happy with their appearance at all times during the shoot.

Communications

Any shot lists must be provided by the client via email 48 hours prior to the shoot. Any changes to times, locations and other details effecting the shoot, must be communicated over email within 24 hours prior to the shoot. Jess Ablett is not responsible for any members of the shoot blocking images, using additional flashes or being uncooperative.
